Kinder A and C
ya pulingina (Hello, welcome)
Over the last three weeks the kindergarten children have been exploring the natural spaces of the school through the “Bush Kinder” program offered by the Sustainability Learning Centre.
Getting outside into nature is not only good for health and overall development, but also provides children with many opportunities to develop social skills, self-regulation, persistence, language and maths skills and develop an appreciate and care of their natural surrounds.
The children have explored the creek, cooked on the fire, search for evidence of our local wildlife, shared stories, created art, and learnt about the traditions of our Nation’s first people.
wulika (goodbye)
Kinder A have really enjoyed visiting and exploring the creek and ochre painting.
The children in Kinder Duncan have thoroughly enjoyed their Bush Kinder sessions, some highlights have been cooking in the fire, creating clay animals, creating stick art and searching for scats.
