3-4 Kenny
At the start of Term 2 the students in 3/4 Kenny spent time reflecting on the meaning of ANZAC day and how we commemorate it. We learned that red poppies are put into wreaths with rosemary for remembrance and these are placed at the War Memorial or Cenotaph in honour of those people who died in wars.
This term we dived into learning how to write interesting and engaging narrative texts. We are learning how to hook our reader’s interest with a catchy beginning and then develop our characters using descriptive words and phrases.
We are also making a big effort to develop our growth mindset by thinking about problems, mistakes, and challenges as an opportunity to grow. We can train our brain to cope with challenges by changing how we talk to ourselves when we stretch it out of our comfort zone.
We are really looking forward to more catchups this term with our buddy class Kinder Clifton!
