3/4E Malcolm McArthur
Since returning to school, 3/4 McArthur have revisited our class goals and routines, and paid close attention to being aware of how we are feeling and looking out for each other.
Last week we participated in the simultaneous reading of Chicken Divas by Jimmy and Nate from Hit 100.9. The story is about two chickens who spend the day snoozing and napping, but under the cover of night they get all glammed up and head to the theatre to perform in front of adorning crowds. As a follow up activity the students designed costumes for their alter egos describing what they did after dark.

We’ve also been busy learning about the difference between parallel and perpendicular lines, and how angles are formed. The students created these Starbursts and have been busy identifying acute, obtuse and right angles within their artwork. Students are also familiarising themselves with protractors and measuring the angles contained in the Starbursts.

This week we have commenced our Aboriginal unit and we’re focusing on how we share knowledge between our generations.
