To celebrate National Science Week here at AFPS, select students engaged in the Rabbit Robbers Challenge! Students were asked to solve a big problem we have in the garden – rabbits keep sneaking in and eating our veggies!

Students used their coding and technology knowledge to create devices to track and scare off curious rabbits. Using Grove Inventor kits kindly provided by the National Science Foundation as part of their school grants program, students coded and built these devices. We are now in the testing phase and we look forward to using these devices in conjunction with the 3/4 Submerged Inquiry.

National Science Week is all about celebrating the amazing things our students can do with science to solve problems in the community and you can see here that our Austins Ferry Primary School students are doing a terrific job achieving these aspirational goals.
