In Kinder children learn through play. Play is essential for all areas of development, including communication, imagination, social and emotional skills, creativity and physical skills. It is self motivated with children needing no encouragement to play. The Kinder learning environment is carefully curated to spark and extend interest, develop literacy and numeracy skills, encourage social interactions, and foster a sense of awe and wonder. The educators in the room support children’s learning by asking questions, playing alongside and with children and engaging in conversation.
In Kinder Duncan this term we have had a wonderful time exploring, discovering, and most importantly playing.
