The end of Term 3 is nearly upon us, I would like to thank all of our staff for their continued effort and students for their outstanding enthusiasm towards learning! Parent involvement and engagement has been tremendous this term so we thank everyone very much.
Our inaugural ArtScare event was a huge success last week. The student’s art work was amazing and great to see out in the public eye. Big thanks to classes for their efforts constructing the brilliant scarecrows from recycled materials. The garden space looked fantastic and the weather turned it on for the event. We will announce our class winner in the scarecrow competition tomorrow at our end of term assembly. I must also acknowledge Mr McArthur and Mr Winckel for developing and organising the event.
I was very proud to attend the 2019 Together We Inspire awards last Thursday night organised by the Department of Education. Our very own Prep teacher Miss Dillon was nominated in the Early Career Teacher category. After a nervous wait we were able to celebrate with her family after she was announced the winner, “Well done Miss Dillon”.
A reminder that we will be hosting our Footy Colours Breakfast this Friday in our kitchen area from 7.30am. There will be bacon rolls and sausages for everyone with lots of games and activities for the whole family. Students are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation to support kid’s cancer and wear their footy colours. Parents are encouraged to donate a gold coin to enjoy the breakfast
I hope all of our community have a fantastic holiday break filled with activity and family. We look forward to seeing everyone for a busy and productive Term 4 with lots of learning and celebration.
